Description
This 1974 Porsche 911 is a Carrera coupe that retains its original 2. 7L flat-six and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Work performed at that time consisted of a repaint and new interior, as well as an engine rebuild. Currently showing just under 57k indicated miles, the car is now being offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a clean Texas title. A bare-metal repaint was carried out in Ice Blue under Carrera side scripts to replace the original combination of Bitter Chocolate and gold decals. Fresh exterior seals were installed after the paintwork. In addition to the introduction of integrated impact bumpers for 1974, the Carrera featured pronounced wheel flares along with a factory ducktail rear spoiler for the US market. Black and polished Fuchs wheels are staggered in width and wear Bridgestone Potenza rubber from the late 2000s. Interior work reportedly included a new dash, headliner, and perforated Midnight seat upholstery. Factory scripted floor mats protect the carpets, which were also replaced. Several photos detail condition of the dash top, switchgear, and instrumentation. The 5-digit odometer shows just under 57k miles. A period Blaupunkt AM/FM radio and power antenna remain fitted. No sunroof is equipped. US-market Carreras were powered by the same K-Jetronic injected 2. 7L flat-six as the contemporary 911S, which was rated at 175 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was reportedly rebuilt during the early-2000s refurbishment. Modifications include a Bursch exhaust, while other details of the engine work are unknown. Stamping 6342377 can be seen in the photo above and confirms the engine as original according to the CoA. Underbody photos indicate the condition of the floors and suspension, and the front trunk compartment and smugglerâ??s box are also detailed in a number of close-up shots. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity verifies the matching engine number as well as original options and colors
