Description
Just about everything was cleaned up or replaced except the transmission - which was deemed to be performing strong. Since the work, I have driven it around town from time to time and have put less than 2000 miles on it. NOTE - several people have asked - I did NOT do an engine swap - the previous owner swapped in a Disco 4.0L engine into it, we rebuilt that engine.I don't sell cars for a living, so ask away if you have questions and I will answer as best as I can. I respect that the pricing on these vary greatly and every one has their own value due to work put in, work left to do, etc. All serious offers will be considered - I need room in the garage. Mechanically and Operationally1. Previous owner had swapped in a 4.0 liter LR Disco engine with a Carb. We pulled it and rebuilt it. While out, we replaced motor mounts.2. New Suspension on all corners3. Has internal AC unit which holds Freon well - This blows cold, but will not compete with a 100 degree day.4. All lighting was swapped to LED.5. Dual Battery system installed with isolation system. NEW starting battery installed in 2024. Also has a pigtail that connects to one battery that can be connected in the driver rear wheel well for easy charging, jumps, powering of equipment, etc.6. New Stereo and speakers installed. (very basic.)Cosmetically:1. The truck was white when i purchased it, and from areas in engine compartment appears to have been green in a prior life. I had the exterior coated with a Kevlar infused Bed Liner material - two tone. Most of the truck is battleship grey with hood and roof being a fleck Black. Since coated its been stored covered in garage or covered enclosed carport.2. New leather buckets installed in the front along with a locking center compartment. Rear are leather buckets as well that swing up out of the way.3. Black Carpet throughout with a grey headliner. Headliner has some sags in it. 4. Multiple layers of insulation on floor boards and around cockpit area....its quieter...but its a manual defender, so far from silent.
