Description
The car shows 13,273 miles and is powered by a 331ci stroker V8 mated to a rebuilt ZF 5-speed transaxle. Considerable effort has been spent sorting the car to make it a reliable, problem-free machine. Regarded as one of the top GT40 replicas in the industry, the ERA chassis is visually and structurally similar to the original GT40 chassis, though it features a number of changes to make the car more suitable for street use. Employing a monocoque structure like the original, the ERA is produced with urethane coated mild steel in lieu of cold-rolled mild steel. Staggered 15â?³ Trigo pin-drive Halibrand-style alloy wheels are equipped with knockoffs and are shod with Avon CR6-ZZ tires. The cockpit incorporates several GT40 details, including a suite of Stewart Warner gauges, toggle switches, and a three-spoke slotted steering wheel. Leather seats feature brass grommets and are accompanied by 5-spoint harnesses. The car was equipped from the factory with A/C, which remains operational. Paired with a rebuilt 5-speed ZF transaxle, power is provided by a fully-built 302 V8, which was stroked to 331 cubic inches. It is balanced and blueprinted, with an estimated power output of 400 horsepower.
