Description
7L CIS flat-six from a 1974 Porsche 911S. The impact bumper bodywork has been modified with TRE fiberglass IROC bumpers and a TRE fiberglass ducktail spoiler. Smaller items include Vitaloni mirrors, and TRE R-style taillights with a filler panel for the rear light center section. The wheels are 16â?³ forged Fifteen52 Outlaw 001s with new 205/45 front and 245/45 Toyo R888 tires. The cabin features a new full carpet set with matching floor mats, a Momo steering wheel, aftermarket shift knob, metal door lock knobs, and white gauges. The outer bolsters of both seats show some wear. A/C is not equipped, nor are heat exchangers to make the heat system effective. 86k miles are shown. A few interior issues are noted, including a missing rear seat back retainer strap, non-working radio, a missing lock knob ferrule, and wipers which do not return to the full-stop position. The original engine has been removed and replaced with a 1974 911S engine, which carries engine number 6340034. The present specification includes late-1974 cylinder heads with air injection, CIS from a 1974 911S with newer injectors, and air injection and engine tin from an early 3. 0L. The exhaust consists of tubular headers into dual resonators and a small rear muffler. On startup after long periods of sitting a medium sized cough of smoke is evident, with less smoke on startup if the car is used regularly. After long drives, or after sitting the car will leave some oil spots, and the case shows some evidence of past leak repairs. Chassis upgrades include Koni red shocks, lowered torsion bars, Elephant Racing control arms, and turbo tie rods. A short driving video is attached above.
