1960 Austin-Healey 3000 MKI

This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 MKI is a US-spec car built in November 1959 and delivered new to San Francisco. It was originally Ivory White with a red interior according to the included BMI Heritage Trust certificate, and was given a repaint in red and new black/red upholstery years ago. 5k miles have been added since, and the odometer now shows 89,691 miles. Power comes from a correct 3. 0-liter inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. A stainless steel exhaust system is currently fitted. Recent work includes new brakes, new hubs, wheel bearings, a new convertible top, valence, front grille, hood intake, and badge bar. The car rides on knock-off chrome wire wheels wearing Signet SB-802 rubber all around. The trunk was recently restored and is pictured in the photo gallery with a spare wheel, knock-off hammer, jack, and a new battery installed in Spring 2016. The original vinyl-covered panels in the rear seat area were previously removed and covered with carpeting. Holes from previously-fitted shoulder straps on either side of the rear seat are present.
