Description
The car is finished in Grand Prix White (L908) and has been fitted with An RS front lip spoiler, as well as Gemballa front air ducts running to the inner fenders. Repairs were performed at a high standard with an emphasis on using genuine Porsche parts, salvaging as many original items as possible, and repainting only what was needed. The work was completed by Porsche specialists Mark Motors in Ottawa over a two-year period at a cost of over $22k CAD. The stock M030 sport suspension has been replaced with Bilstein shocks that were re-valved to RSR specs, and adjustable front camber plates were also installed. 18 Turbo Twist replicas are shod in new Michelin Pilot Sports, the car also comes with a set of black 18 CCW alloys mounted on Nitto NT-01 tires that have never been used. Some normal wear and a few chips are present on forward facing surfaces. Inside, the RS America features a partially stripped interior with cloth seats and flat door panels with red pull straps. This car came equipped with all four options that were available for the model, however the A/C system has been removed and the CR-1 radio has been replaced with an Alpine head unit. The A/C lines are still with the car, but the original radio, steering wheel, and rear parcel shelf are missing. Modifications include a Momo Mod 07 steering wheel, RS shift rod with Momo Alcantara boot, Rennline pedal and dead pedal set, and Rennline black aluminum driver mat. A quick-release Safecraft fire extinguisher is mounted to the Autopower Industries half cage. An additional pair of new Recaro Pole Position racing seats come with the car and are upholstered in black leather with Alcantara inserts and white stitching. The Simpson 5-point harnesses work in conjunction with the seats, and a Recaro side mount has been installed. The 3. 6-liter flat-six is mated to a 5-speed manual, and the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential (220). The engine features Billy Boat headers and exhaust system, an RS heater bypass tube, and the insulation has been removed. The last compression test was at 68,326 miles and showed that all cylinders were between 150-152 psi. A large file of service records that date back to the late 1990s documents maintenance and modifications performed over the years. Filed under: 964
