1968 Jaguar XKE Roadster

This 1968 Jaguar XKE Roadster is powered by its numbers-matching 4. The car was reportedly stored from 1985 until 2014, when it was refreshed with new brakes and suspension components, a carburetor and water pump rebuild, a new fuel tank, new tires, and more. This XKE Roadster is now being offered for sale in North Carolina with nearly $40k of receipts, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Tennessee title. Rust was removed from both footwells and the floorpans were replaced. A small metal patch is also noted in the right rear floor. 15� wire wheels were fitted with Vredestein 185/70 tires within the last two years. A new old-stock rear window was fitted in the hardtop along with new chrome trim and seals. The wiper motor will be replaced prior to the sale. The original radio does not function and the tachometer is incorrect. The original 4. 2L straight-six is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The dual Stromberg carburetors and water pump were rebuilt during the refurbishment. Servicing for the cooling system included cleaning and re-coring the radiator, sand blasting the expansion tank, installing a new fan switch, rebuilding the fan motors, and installing new hoses. A new fuel tank and lines were installed, and the heater box was rebuilt. A recent oil service and carb adjustment were performed, and compression test results showed 140-145 psi across all six cylinders. As shown above, the engine number is #7E17324-9 and matches the data plate viewable in the gallery. A provided Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate also lists the engine number as #7E17324-9, confirming it as original to the car. Carmen Red over Black are shown as the factory colors, with a manufacture date of 5/6/68. Undercarriage photos reveal a newer stainless steel exhaust system and suspension components.
