Description
Over $50k was reportedly spent on the refurbishment, which was carried out over a period of five years by a Florida-based Corvette restorer. The body was repainted during the refurbishment in its original shade of Ermine White (936A). At the same time, the frame was powder coated and previous rust issues were repaired. Cracks on the left rear valance are detailed in the gallery. Non-original slotted steel wheels wear chrome caps with spinners along with redline tires. The red vinyl interior features color matching lap belts and carpeting. The seats were rebuilt, the gauges were restored, and the odometer was reset at the completion of the refurbishment. Only 100 miles have reportedly been added in the last 15 years, and total chassis mileage is unknown. Both headlight motors and side windows are powered and reportedly work as designed. It is mated to a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. A full service is recommended due to the limited use throughout the last 15 years. Undercarriage photos show the powder-coated frame and newer exhaust system. Filed under: c2, split window, split-window
