The car is finished in black over Maroon cloth upholstery. Additional equipment includes a four-speed automatic transmission, SS-specific bodywork and graphics, an F41 sport suspension, power steering, 15″ American Racing wheels, an Alpine head unit, power windows and locks, air conditioning, and front bucket seats. The Monte Carlo SS featured model-specific front and rear bodywork, body-color sport side mirrors, and red Monte Carlo SS decals. Exterior equipment includes quad headlights, Chevrolet-branded mudflaps, and dual exhaust outlets. The 15″ American Racing wheels feature red accent stripes and are mounted with 215/65 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The SS was factory equipped with F41 sport suspension with heavy-duty springs and larger front and rear anti-roll bars, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The interior is trimmed in Maroon cloth and features bolstered front bucket seats and a rear bench as well as color-coordinated door panels. Amenities include a center console, a locking glovebox, an Alpine head unit, power windows and locks, SS Monte Carlo-branded floor mats, and air conditioning. Holes are visible in the front seat bottom upholstery. The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.
