Description

This 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 was built as a designated track car by Northwest Porsche mechanic Ted Anthony in 2005 and modified into a street-legal â??outlawâ? by 425 Motorsports in 2016. Power comes from a built 3. 8L flat-six with RSR pistons and lightweight rods, while the 5-speed manual transaxle has been fitted with revised ratios and a performance street clutch. Said to be at home on the street or track, the car runs on 92-octane pump fuel and has reportedly received regular maintenance to compensate for its hard use. Cosmetic additions include fiberglass front and rear bumpers, a deep chin spoiler, brake ducts, and a 3. 8RS rear wing. Both fiberglass and steel hoods are provided, with the latter currently fitted. Lexan quarter and rear windows have been fitted in place of the stock glass, which is also included. New Sparco EVO-II racing seats are fitted on Planted Technology side mounts and Recaro sliders. Additional track-oriented touches include a Sparco race wheel, RUF pedals, RS-style door panels, stereo delete plate, custom lightweight RS-style carpeting, and aluminum floor panels. The 3. Exhaust is via stainless headers and custom piping through the rear bumper. The exhaust note is demonstrated in the video above along with acceleration through several gears. Engine management is from a MoTeC system tuned by Chris Powell for use with 92-octane fuel. ft. The engine has seen approximately 11k miles since it was built, an estimated 8-10k of which were on track. The G50 5-speed manual transaxle was built with lower ratios and upgraded axles. A new performance street clutch was fitted in 2016, and a 6-puck competition clutch is also included. Suspension modifications include Moton Club Sport double-adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs, H&R springs, front camber plates, a Clubsport strut brace, upgraded end links, and monoballs in place of factory bushings. Braking is from red 4-piston 911 Turbo calipers over slotted rotors with some thermal cracking visible. The car comes with build records including a detailed parts list, which shows $15k of hardware and shipping at the builderâ??s cost in 2005. Original parts include those mentioned above in addition to stock bumpers, exhaust system, seats, and seat belts. An extra set of 964 Cup axles is also included along with a car cover.
